# Brief · who runs it, how every figure is checked

Every figure on Brief carries its source and the day it was checked.

Brief holds the reward rules of Indian credit cards: earn rates, caps, forex, lounges, transfer partners and the statuses each card opens. Brief is not a financial adviser.

## Who runs it

Aditya Tak builds and runs Brief, from India. Aditya writes about card rewards as @pointsbyadi on X. Brief posts as @briefcards.

## How a figure gets on the page

Every day at noon, the terms pages of the cards on Brief’s watchlist are read and compared with the day before. A difference is a flag, not a change. A person checks it against its sources before the page moves, and the page then shows the source and the day it was checked.

## What the grades mean

✓ official: read in the bank’s own terms or product page. Verified: two or more independent card sites agree. Community-verified: one forum’s consensus. A figure last checked more than six months ago is marked as aged.

## Who pays for it

No bank pays for where its card sits on a page, and Brief shows no advertising. Where a link ever carries a referral fee, the fee does not change the order, and the page says which links carry one.

## When a figure is wrong

Write to adi@getbrief.cards with the card, the figure and where you saw it differ. The corrected figure goes on the page with its new source and date.
